We can’t count on gaming or mining to get us back on our feet so what have we got that would secure Nevada’s revenue? We have Yucca Mountain.
It’s what Nevada has to sell that offers stability in the State. By
products from other states stored and reprocessed for sale back to
those states. It’s not only safe but profitable and would create jobs
when you look at all the people who would have to be hired to operate
the Yucca facility. Nuclear power and storage is not what it was in
the 1940s. Great strides have been made in packaging, transportation,
and storage along with reprocessing. I hope Nevada has some elected
officials willing to see the future of Yucca Mountain.
