Governor Gibbons Doing Great PDF Print E-mail
First, I think that Governor Gibbons is doing a Great job.  We need to live within our means and with the budget cuts it gives everyone in the state a chance to clean house.  We all know that there is a lot of waste in the government.  Second, I think we really do need to look at Yucca Mountain as a means to adding more revenue to the state.

Harry Reid is not even open to the idea, which shows that he is closed minded in a lot of areas.  Some state will eventually open a nuclear deposit and it might as well be us.  We can just about name our price.  We also have a lot of wide open space that could be used instead of Yucca.  We have put a lot of time and money into Yucca to just shut it down.  Third, schools, I am sick and tired of hearing about the lack of money for schools.  If we had good teachers then our state would not always be at the top of the list for dropouts.  Teachers need to be held accountable for the things that go on in the system.  It is time for them to clean house also and get rid of dead weight.  We do not need to build schools that rival the governor’s mansion.  Bring back the three R’s.  We all learned that way and seemed to have retained our knowledge.  There might just be something there.  And lastly, gas prices, I called to get a price on propane and was told that it was $3.49 a gallon.  That is outrageous.  The oil companies have a monopoly and we are at their mercy.  They are not drilling, exploring, or updating the refineries.  They are sitting around counting their millions at the taxpayer’s expense.
