Early Retirement PDF Print E-mail
I would like to see something similar to what GM and Chrysler are doing; urge employees to retire early. This will cost, initially more, but within a year, will save the State much needed revenue.

This will reduce the need to cut salaries and benefits. If this suggestion is used, it would reduce the tax burden on the residents. I would like to see the law changed to allow a State lottery. It can be run like California’s lottery or given Nevada flair. The protest from UNR and UNLV would indicate that their need for State funding is required. I have mixed emotions about legalizing prostitution within Clark, Washoe, and Carson counties, but if one does look at the other side of the coin, prostitution is already going on within city limits. It would be beneficial to have it monitored, checked by a doctor and...taxed! Would this eliminate illegal prostitution? Of course not, but it would control it more than it is now. Taxing residents when there is no money, does not make sense.
