Job Reduction to 80 Percent |

I believe if State employees were given the option to cut their full time positions, for example 100 percent to 80 percent, you would see more productivity, less waste, less sick leave usage, and better morale.
I believe not only would the employee and Nevada taxpayers benefit but
you would see more parent participation in their children’s schooling.
Working a schedule of 8:00 to 2:30 with a half hour lunch for parents
would allow them to be home after school. I honestly believe giving
the employee the option of less than 100 percent full time would make a
tremendous difference in so many aspects it would be hard not to
consider. There are no State positions offered at 80 percent that I am
aware of and very few at 50 percent.
