Why not create revenue instead of taking the easy out by cutting my pay, everything is being increased: health insurance, electricity, car insurance, and gas to name a few. How are we expected to pay our bills? The Governor has announced he will give his staff a raise as he is taking my pay.
There are a number of ways to create revenue in the DMV if someone
would just listen. 1. Charge a fee for the handbooks. 2. Charge a fee
for the 30-day moving permit. 3. Charge fees to take the written
test. 4. Charge a slightly higher fee if you need to take the written
test in a language other than English or learn to read signs posted in
English. 5. Raise the registration fee from $7 to $40. 6. If a person
has more than one insurance lapse the fees should be higher for each
incident rather than $250. 7. If a person lives and works in Nevada,
their driver’s license and vehicle registrations should be changed to
Nevada as a condition of employment. 8. Reinstate private party sales
tax. 9. Charge a fee for the driver’s test. 10. Use the money
Governor Gibbons is giving his staff as a raise towards the DMV
proposed lost wages.
